In his 30s, Martin's interests expanded into real estate, where he managed & owned several prominent offices across the south east suburbs of Melbourne; achieving an award winning reputation as a charismatic and successful auctioneer, before moving into property development.
This path led to his initial commercial connection with China in multimillion dollar deals in the north of Australia, and a relationship that has blossomed into upscale property development across Australia's major cities.Martin's German grandfather, a skilled ivory carver, first engaged what has become a long held family connection to fine Chinese art in his transactions with China in the early part of the 20th century. He built an impressive collection of elegant and exquisite pieces, including exceptionally rare Ru ware, which Martin has admired and been inspired by since he was young.
